Directions and Special Requests! Thank you for your rapid responses to our request for information! We had 32 reservations submitted, and your preferences have now been transmitted to Bon Appetit. The 32 includes all of the clan, plus several offspring--including Dustin, Heather, Tianna, Bob, Brian, John and Linda. We hope you enjoy the weekend in Tulsa! Most of you have chosen to stay at the Doubletree Hotel. Paul was at the downtown Doubletree the other day taking a class. He checked on their prices for the dates of our reunion, and they indicated the rate had been dropped to $59/night for those dates. You might want to check it out! We are meeting at the Clubhouse at Paul's condo this year rather than at the Cosmopolitan Club. Following are some directions that might be helpful. Directions to the Doubletree Hotel: If coming into town from the south on Highway 75, take the 71st Street exit, go east to Yale (about 4 miles), turn north (left) on Yale to 61st Street. The Doubletree is on the southwest corner--kind of hidden behind another building. It is several stories high so you should see the name. If coming into town on Highway 44/66 from the west or east, take the Yale exit and go south to 61st Street. If coming into town on the Broken Arrow Expressway (64/51), exit onto I44 Oklahoma City, then take the Yale exit and go south to 61st Street. Directions From The Doubletree to Clubhouse: To get to the Clubhouse from the Doubletree, go east on 61st Street to 169, go north on 169 to the 11st street exit, go east on 11th to 111th east, south on 111th east to 12th street and the Clubhouse is on the northwest corner of that intersection. This sounds complicated but you are getting on a major expressway (169) and going to the major street for the Clubhouse (11th) then you just have to jog a block to get to 12th street. Special Requests from Bon Appetit: The Bon Appetit has requested that while in the kitchen area, all children be corralled by a parent. They don't want the kids wandering around the kitchen and picking up knives or something and getting hurt. I assured them this would be no problem. If some of the kids don't want to see the demonstration, I will stay with them in the private dining area. Coffee, made with fresh coffee beans David has
found, Weather, right now, looks good. Happy traveling! Cell Phone #'s submitted: Rocky/Esther: 214-577-3652 We'll see you in Tulsa on December 28th! MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! |
