....Meet Chef Phillipi Garnier....

Chef Garnier was born in Paris (---France--not Texas!) November 25,1955.  He was raised in a Catholic School from age 6 to 15.  But by the age of 13, he was already starting to cook during summer vacations at Le Clos Normand in Deauville

From this early beginning, he continued to delight people with his French cuisine in:

Lucas Carton
Prunier
Vagenende
Le Procope
Le Divellec
As well in the Burgundy area at L�esperance in Vezelay

Chef Garnier started his own business in 1981 in Paris but moved to Provence (south of France) in 1991 where he owned several restaurants and became a partner in several food factories in South of France

In 1999, he decided to leave France and come to America. Fortunately, he ended up in Tulsa, OK, opening the Bon Appetit in Tulsa in 2000

Oh, by the way, he is also a Ph.D. in law (Universite de Paris Nanterre, 1978).  

 

Chef Phillipe also does Cooking Demos for Williams Sonoma here in Tulsa so we are looking forward to seeing how he comes up with these delightful French dishes. The Menu is designed to expose you to a typical French dining experience--lots of courses with lots of delightful experiences for the palette. Even if you don't like French food, you might enjoy at least tasting each offering!

This restaurant starts seating guests at 5:00 p.m.; the Chef will have to start preparing food at that time and we will have to exit the kitchen!

Chef Phillipe speaks only French in front of groups; therefore Hye-Young will be the translator for him during the demonstration and cooking class.  We tried our best to get a place that is truly authentic French; we figured a French speaking Chef was about the ultimate!
