Our 45th Family Reunion, Tulsa, OK
We held our 45th Rozeboom Reunion in Tulsa, OK. It was handled by Vic and Bev and turned into a great 3 day event! There are very few families who can brag about 45 Reunions in their history, so we should be proud of this accomplishment!
We arrived as we could on the first day and then drove about a mile south as the same road our hotel was on to the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant for dinner.. It was a huge place and completely full of people. If you got Wings, you got a pretty good meal. If you tried other offerings, it was a mixed bag; at least, so I heard!
The next day we had breakfast at the hotel and then had some time to talk. Most of us wanted to go visit Jimmy Buffett's new River Spirit Casino that had just opened 4 months earlier. We headed out as a group to go see this 27 floor hotel right on the Arkansas River and so many gaming machines, it made us dizzy! It was a site to see! Andy and Linda decided they would be our host next year and we were going to have it here! So Linda
arranged for us to view a couple of rooms, and they were beautiful, looking out at the Arkansas River, all clean and new! You just cannot miss next year's Reunion!
We then proceeded down the road a bit to Zio's Italian Kitchen for a wonderful Italian lunch! They were able to seat all 18 of us at 2 tables, side by side. The food was really good! A trip to the Jenks Aquarium was planned for after our lunch. Some went there and some went back to the hotel to rest a bit. I think we are getting a wee bit older and may need some "down" time to do our best! Ha!
We then had a great Mexican dinner at Los Cabos on the Jenks Riverwalk. It was also packed but we did get a single table for all of us to sit together and were able to talk some. It was so packed it was very noisy after a while. We returned to the hotel and had a great time holding our newest baby, Michael Charles Zelsnack, and visiting with the whole crew. the next morning, and I don't think we could have had a better breakfast! And the re-design of her kitchen was just perfect for our whole crew! Thank you Linda!
